Other Singapore Invoice Questions Internal
What should I do if I have questions about invoice charges and line items?
Please reach out to Velocity Global through your normal process, and we will help you with any questions relating to invoice charges.
What are the taxes listed on the invoice, and why might they be different on each invoice?
Please see the Line-Item Descriptions article for more information on the individual taxes.
There are no monthly taxes in Singapore, and thus, there would be no tax deductions listed on monthly invoices or your supported employee’s payroll.
Taxes in Singapore are calculated and settled only during the year end or during termination of foreign employees who do not have SPR status. However, please note that annual tax amounts may fluctuate depending on the invoice and/or time of the year, though they should remain relatively consistent in Singapore. Any kind of compensation outside of an employee’s regular salary is also subject to taxes, so if an employee receives a one-off bonus, or other kind of payment, the amount of tax due will also increase.
Additionally, if employee goes on sick leave, parental leave, maternity leave, or paternity leave, the compensation paid to the employee (and therefore the taxes due) may decrease because of payment coming from social security funds.
Tax amounts also differ due to different categories of tax-resident status of the supported employee.
How can I receive a deposit refund?
You can expect to receive your deposit refund 45 days after the termination date of your supported employee.
Can I view invoices in your technology platform?
Yes, you can view our invoice packages using Velocity Global’s cloud-based web application.
